Children's workshop as part of PIDA 2024

The Center for Architecture of Slovenia - in collaboration with Jan Pintar (Pintart) - organized a children's workshop entitled Self-Sustainable Home at the Piran Library as part of PIDA 2024.

At the workshop, which took place on Thursday, 21 November 2024, participants wondered what the built environment should be like so that we can live in harmony with nature and how we can increase self-sufficiency through thoughtful spatial and architectural planning. The children explored the intertwining of nature and the built environment, through hand-made activities they created small eco-friendly dwellings with recycled materials, and explored concepts such as green roofs and solar energy. Together, they discovered the joy of building a city that is inextricably linked to and also supplied by nature.
