Toni Gironès Saderra

Spain 

Toni Gironès Saderra, PhD. Architect in Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) in 2016 and architect in the Technic School of Architecture of Vallès (ETSAV) - UPC in 1992. Projects teacher at ETSAV from 1993 to 2005. Since then, he has been developing the rules of head of teaching, coordinator of the first and second courses and professor-coordinator of the Projects I-II, Drawing I-II as well as Projects and Urbanism II in the School of Architecture of Reus - URV. On 2017, he was invited as a visitor professor of the School of Architecture of Navarra – UNAV. From the 2009 until 2012 he had been a member of the Board of Directors and a professor of BIARCH – Barcelona Institute of Architecture, and from 2013 until 2017, he was part from the patronage of the ancient city of Vic, invited as an expert architect in rehabilitation and heritage. He has been established since 1993 as an independent professional, has been invited as a lecturer in different countries and his work has been recognized within several exhibitions, publications and awards in national and international context.

In 2013, his work was exhibited in SAM (Swiss Architecture Museum) in Basel. Exhibition: "Space & Matter: Life & place."
In 2014, he represented the Catalan Pavilion inside the XIV Biennale Architecture Exhibition in Venice.
In 2016, he was selected by the curator of the XV Biennale Architecture Exhibition in Venice,Alejandro Aravena, to participate with a pavilion of the studio to the exhibition “Reporting from the front” in the Arsenale.
In the same year, he was selected with the project “80 Social Housing in Salou” in the Spanish pavilion which won the “Leone d’oro”.
He has been a lecturer in different professional schools and an invited professor in the universities of Rosario, Sta.
