Tom Lechner, born in Altenmarkt/Pongau in 1970, studied architecture at University of Technology Graz (1990-1997) and founded the “LP architektur” studio together with Alexander Pedevilla in 2000 after having worked in various architectural offices in Salzburg and Berlin. Pedevilla retired in 2002. Between 2005 and 2009 Tom Lechner was a lecturer at the Kuchl University of Applied Sciences. In 2006 “LP architektur ZT GmbH” was founded. He has held the position of President of the Central Association of Architects in Austria (Salzburg regional group) since 2012. His membership in the design advisory boards in various municipalities began in 2013. From 2014 to 2020 he was a member of the architectural advisory board of the Austrian Real Estate Company. He regularly holds international and national jury activities and lectures and works as a consultant for development issues in various municipalities.
