Prof. Aleš Vodopivec, PhD, is an architect. In addition to his teaching work at the Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana, he regularly publishes professional and scientific articles. Author or editor of books: Arhitektura Ljubljana, Ab, 1974; Iz arhitekture/From architecture (with Janez Koželj) –prašanja umetnosti gradnje/Questions of the art of construction, Krt 48, 1987; Edvard Ravnikar,Umetnost in arhitektura/Art and Architecture, Collection of essays, Slovenska matica, 2007, reprint 2021; Edvard Ravnikar – Architect and Teacher (with Rok Žnidaršič), Springer, 2010. Awards for architectural works: Prešeren Fund Award, Piranesi Award, Plečnik Award, three Plečnik Medals, Platinum Pencil ZAPS, Gold Pencil and Patina Pencil ZAPS and Ernst A. Plischke Preis.
