Art historian and one of the founders of PDA simposium prof. dr. Sonja Ana Hoyer, conservation councilor, worked for 40 years in the practice of monument preservation (architecture restoration) on the coast (Koper, Izola, Piran). Among her most important works, the renovations of Tartini's house in Piran and the Foresteria and Armory with new construction for the University of Primorska in Koper stand out the most. All three restored buildings are presented in the monographic books "Tartini's House" (in Slovene and Italian) and "University of Primorska in the historical core of the city of Koper" (in Slovene, Italian, English and French). She taught conservatorship at the Department of Art History, Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana and at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Maribor. At conservation symposia at home and abroad, which she also co-organized, she took part in lectures: Creativity and conservation (Piran 1989), Architect Jože Plečnik in Prekmurje (Moravske Toplice 1997), Architect Pietro Nobile (Trieste 1999), Der slowenische Architekt Jože Plečnik als Conservator (Vienna 2001).
